Screamin Rita synth

Description

A long time ago I came up with this design for a portable keyboard. Obviously based on a Keytar, I wanted it to look sexier than those out-of-the-80s plasticky pieces of junk, and have more uses.

============================
Autodesk Maya 2010
Mental Ray
Photoshop for Occlusion and beauty layering
============================

Imaginary Features:
---------------------------------------------------------------

- Pitch bend, vibrato, and "tone mix" wheels
- 6 basic tone and volume knobs, one for each octave
- 100 pre-programmed, true-to-life instruments
- Looping function with drum machine and audio layering
- Touch-screen based OS with onboard recording ability
- Midi in / out
- Aux plug for guitars / bass guitar / microphone. Pass them through the Screamin' Rita to have someone use it as a glorified effects pedal.
- 72 weighted and counter-weighted keys, with the ability to program each key to a different instrument
- Audio processor and effects generator to calculate recorded sounds and generate instrument profiles from them.

I wanted to add my original ideas of also including six fake guitar strings so that you could strum and key at the same time, and also a high-tension chord that can be bowed to produce better "strings" quality.
